Video coming soonIt was only six years ago that this colt’s sire, GHOSTZAPPER, was Horse-of-the-Year. He won three Grade 1’s including the Metropolitan Mile (1:33:1), Woodward Stakes (1:46:1 for 1 1/8 miles), and the Breeder’s Cup Classic (NTR). He also won the Grade 2 Tom Fool (1:20:2 for 7 furlongs), and the Grade 3 Philip H. Iselin Handicap by 11 lengths. He amassed $3.5MM in earnings and is a half brother to another very good stallion named CITY ZIP. His trainer, the late Bobby Frankel admiringly called him a “Freak.”
We believe this tall, leggy colt bears a strong resemblance to his sire in color and type. He is well-balanced and just floats over the ground. He acts like a racehorse, like a horse who can easily adapt to change and take everything in stride.
The dam is TALENT LADY, a winning multiple stakes placed mare by distance loving PERSONAL FLAG. She already has a stakes winner of $388K among her three winners. TALENT LADY has some European blood on her female side which should blend additional stamina to the wonderful speed factor in this fellow’s pedigree.
GHOSTZAPPER’S first crops have seemingly been spotted in stakes races all around the country. They have won on dirt, turf, and synthetics. The best is yet to come from this champion, and Whitehall Stable is poised to capitalize with this strikingly handsome individual.
